I am getting my tattoo in around 36 hours. Is it safe to use Nair right now? The area doesn’t have a lot of hair, just some very fine hair that I want to remove before getting it. Is it safe?
I wouldn’t do that if I were you, it could have adverse effects. The artist usually will go over the spot with a shaving razor anyways

I dont have a new tattoo but I got a session of laser removal done. I heard youre supposed to treat it like a new tattoo… Just wondering when I can get in a pool or soak in the tub.. Thanks
You really should wait until the area has healed, but I went in a hot tub two days after laser treatment once. It was part of a spa day with the bride-to-be the day before her wedding (and I was the Matron of Honor, so I couldn’t skip out).
Here is what I did to protect it: I smothered the blistered area in ointment, then covered in a surgical pad with tape around the edges, then wrapped the pad with the medical wrap that only sticks to itself. Now, that is really what I did for it every day, but it was a 3" x 5" tattoo on my calf and it swelled and blistered horribly with each treatment. I could harldly walk if I didn’t compress it with a wrap and it would ooze through anything except a surgical pad. A smaller one might be covered by a large waterproof Band-aid. Also, make sure to clean the area VERY well afterward and reapply ointment.
If you can help it, wait until it’s healed and don’t risk a nasty infection. I got lucky, but you may not!
BTW, removal went great and now mine is in the before-after pics of the place that did it! I hope you have the same luck that I did!!

I WANT TO DO A LAWSUIT AGAINST MY COSMETIC TATTOO SALON / TECH
I want to be reimbursed the cost of the Tattoo $120 plus the cost of facial laser tattoo removal $2500
My permanent eyebrow tattoo was done March 15, 2012. I am now stuck with tattoo eyebrows that are 1) colored jet black; 2) the shape of a ‘line’ 3) and placed significantly above my own natural brow line. The THREE 3 things you NEED to get right with an eyebrow tattoo: 1) color 2) shape 3) location … are now visually damaged.
I asked her how we are going to fix this problem and she said she would CHARGE me to touch up and/or blend a lighter color in the black tattoo and/or put a color erase liquid. As I became more upset, she said she would give me a discount!!??!! Can you believe this! This is NOT right or fair.
I am in my mid 40′s and in a very professional field of work. I have never ever had a tattoo ever, there are No other tattoos on my body. The Hmong cosmetic tattoo tech lady is the owner of the salon/ permanent make-up business. This woman who came so highly recommended blatantly failed to listen to what I wanted. I specifically told her that I wanted a very natural brow. I then wiped off my own brow make up, right in front of her, and with my brow pencil in a light brown color, I re-colored my brow to show her exactly what I wanted. I told her several times I wanted a very natural look. I did not want an eyebrow that looked like a ‘line’ eyebrow. We also talked about my tattoo not looking like a solid geometrical ‘line’ and I wanted to know the possibility of having little lines or ‘hairs’ tattooed in my own eyebrow so it would look natural. She said those little hair lines were not possible, but not to worry, it would look very natural. I told her I wanted the color of blond or light brown since my skin color is very white and pale and I have light brown hair. My husband was there as witness to everything and my daughter too. We went through pictures together. She had me sign a paper, and I really dont have any idea what I signed and I didn’t ask for a copy, however, I want a copy now! and I dont know if I should just ask her or write a formal letter requesting it.
Before she did her work, she cut all the little hairs off of both my eyebrows with these little scissors. After she did her tattoo work, I looked in the mirror and notice it was the shape of a ‘line’ that I didn’t want. I questioned the shape and she said in English/Hmong accent: ‘I saw what you do with pencil for me, but I No like, I do this one for you’. I was stone cold. I asked about the black color.. she said it would scab, fade and in a couple of months be lighter brown. I didn’t notice its position until weeks passed and all the little hairs in my ‘real’ eyebrows started growing back below the tattoo. My tattoo never scabbed. It never peeled it never faded.. the same black color that I walked out the day the tattoo was done is the same color I have 2 months later, BLACK. I questioned her about that and she said that some girls just ‘absorb’ the color and the color doesn’t change and I am just one of ‘those’ girls. I questioned her professionalism and asked, if this is in fact true , why didn’t you do a color test on my skin. So you will know what you are going to get as a result. She laughed and said she couldn’t do that to all her clients. (as if it would take up too much time, or something?)
I am an ire mess beside myself. I look RIDICULOUS! Of course my family assures me I look beautiful. My professional colleagues say nothing, not a thing. It pains me to see the pain in their faces when they have to look at me face to face. . I have not shaved or plucked my eyebrows underneath. I feel like I need to grow them out so I can show the woman and/or take pictures for the judge. I dont want a pity wagon! But I do want what is fair. I want to sue for reimbursement of the tattoo and for laser removal. I need information and I dont know where to start. Does anyone know an estimate for eyebrow laser removal? Does anyone know any contract legal grounds for this problem? Thank you everyone who is willing to share with me any information or insight about any aspect of this situation. Absolutely any helpful comments are so very much appreciated! ~Emmy Marx(lol, see I still have a sense of humor!

What home remedies help fade and remove tattoos over time
a little magnesium powder bandaged over the tattoo will take it right off, but if you don’t want the scar and the pain head down to walgreens and pick up a skin lightener with 1% hydroquinone and a skin scrub, such as an apricot scrub. apply the lightener twice daily, and exfoliate every day on the tattoo. btw this will take weeks possibly months

It’s about a day old, done with India ink that was waterproof and fadeproof. It’s very well done and I don’t hate it, but I’m afraid I’ll regret it later and I’m already starting to regret it. It’s in a very visible spot, otherwise I would just let it heal and be happy with it. I scrubbed with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol for about 20 minutes and it faded considerably, but only to the point where it looks old. I’m about to try soaking in hydrogen peroxide as I hear this could work well for new tattoos, but is it already too late? I also have sea salt and a wash cloth, which is next on my list. I would rather keep it than do laser removal or creams.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
You can also take a hot bath, slather it with neosporin, and do everything else you have planned. The reality is, you’re going to have a faded tattoo now. There really isn’t a 100% way to remove a tattoo at home without leaving excessive scarring through dermabrasion on yourself or burning it off.

Number one, this was a tattoo artist specializing in cosmetic tattooing, correct? Okay. The ten thousand dollar question… did you sign a contract in which you agreed to accept the work as is? If you did, a judge is going to ask if this is your signature on the form, yes or no. If the answer is yes, you’re pretty screwed. If the answer is no, you have a case. Good luck with it. A facial tattoo that’s been botched by an amateur is no joke.

I have a back tattoo I want to remove. I can’t afford laser removal
there are a few that are prescription but can be harmful and will take months to even work a little bit. Plus, they are just as expensive as the laser removal. you could try bio oil but that may be hard to find and doesn;t always work. best of luck to you- musiclover

My eyebrows were tattooed using black ink about 6 months ago. I was wondering if I got a light brown tattooed over the black ink, would it lighten the black or just add pigmentation and make it darker?
Laser removal or harsh lightening creams aren’t an option at this time
I did an eyebrow tattoo but I did a research before doing it. I went to see people who had done the same.
YOUR BLACK TATTOO will fade or lighten as time goes by. Adding a brown tattoo will only darken it.
When I did my tattoo, I only did it once, I never went back for a retouch. I am very happy with the result.
But my tattoo is too faded right now and will need to do it again.

Please no-one send me any info you have found on the internet if you have not had a removal as I can look up on that info myself, unless you perform removals that would be great lol! I’m hoping to speak with someone who has had the experience whether it was good or bad. I know the cost depends on where you go, the number of sessions required and the size of the tattoo but a few examples would be good. I have a black tattoo, no colour and unfortunately it’s just over a year old which I’ve read up on that the newer the tattoo the more difficult it is to remove. Thanks for any info!
It’s going to cost a lot of money, time, and pain! I just started my tattoo removal for a tattoo on my wrist. Mine is 2×3 inches and the place I go to charges $1300 for 5 sessions, then $280 each session after. It’s pink + green with a tad of black. Reds/greens are harder to remove, which means it will take many sessions. Black is the easiest. It’s been 2 weeks since my first session and so far, some of the black is already gone but the rest looks the same. The nurse told me it might be 2 or 3 sessions before I see a difference. I have to wait 8 weeks between each session. And make sure the place you decide on uses a Medlite C6 laser. At the moment, this is the best laser for tattoo removal.
The procedure didn’t really hurt, it was the healing that hurt. They numb the area with shots of lidocaine and then you can’t feel a thing. After the lidocaine wore off it hurt like hell. Your skin is pretty much being burnt. The worst was the first 5 days. The area was swollen, stiff, sore, and blistered. So you can imagine the pain when the blisters finally POPPED.
My friend is in the process of getting her’s removed. It was mostly black with some pink and turquoise. It’s been 3 sessions and the black is almost gone. Only the turquoise (greenish) is giving her problems. The nurse says she will probably need 2 more. Everyone is different, but since yours is black, it shouldn’t be too problematic. I’m estimating that I may need 7 sessions for mine. After a few sessions, the nurse should be able to see your progress and give you a vague estimate of how many more sessions you may need.

anyone has had laser removal? costs? how does it look? does it work better on newer tattoos or older?
how does it work with black tattoos? details?
im not too worried about pain- thats temporary. i jus wanna know results and stuff
I’ve heard that removal of Black ink tattoos is the most straight forward.
As for appearance, however, I’ve never seen a tattoo that has successfully been completely removed. Most people are left with a blurry blueish area.
It seems to take about 8-10 sessions. Newer, professionally applied tattoos are meant to be much more difficult to remove.
